Peng Jian, born in July 1986, hails from Ganzhou, Jiangxi.

“This home energy storage system is our company’s ‘star product,'” Peng Jian proudly introduced. “With these systems, a user’s home can function like a small power station, converting photovoltaic power into household electricity and storing excess energy, making it both convenient and cost-effective.”

Foxess Energy Co., Ltd. was founded in 2019. Data reflecting the driving force of technological innovation shows the dynamic momentum this new energy company has generated: within just three years of production, the annual output value has jumped from over 80 million yuan to more than 3 billion yuan. The company’s business now covers more than 20 countries and regions, and its product scale and production capacity have positioned it among the leaders in the national home energy storage industry.

Early Story About Foxess(It must be changed)

Foxess’s persident Pengjian said:

‘In the early days of our startup, my partners and I rented an 8,000-square-meter factory to begin product development and prepare for production. At that time, strategic emerging industries were booming across the country. “With economic development entering a new normal, it is particularly crucial to adhere to innovation and green development. New energy is definitely a promising track,” I recalled. A group of young partners sat together, discussing how to transition from “green” to “new.”

“We aim to become the leader in the global home energy storage market,” we knew that integrating into the “big circle of friends” in the new energy industry and becoming the main force in new industrialization would lead to better development.

We named our company “Maitian,” meaning “wheat field,” with the vision of being the “wheat field on the roof,” symbolizing growth with sunlight, just like the crops of ordinary people.

To succeed, we had to be different. The first change I implemented was optimizing and improving the process of producing energy storage inverters. “Focusing solely on scale and speed won’t work; we must change the traditional high-energy-consumption methods.” In the first half of 2020, I, along with several key technicians, traveled to more than a dozen regions across the country for industrial research.

When we walked into an aging test workshop at an inverter production company, we instantly felt the heat all over our bodies, and within minutes, we were sweating profusely. This production process required simulating a high-temperature environment of 45°C, and workers had to test the equipment in the workshop, which led to heatstroke and exhaustion after long-term work.

“No, this must be change, it must be changed!” On the way back from the research, I remained silent, frowning. Images of wine cabinets and refrigerators flashed through my mind. How could we shrink the aging test workshop, make it like a wine cabinet, and use robotic arms for transportation so that people didn’t have to go inside?’

Peng Jian immersed himself in the design of a 1.2-meter-wide equipment room, continuously optimizing the production line. Eventually, he and his team independently developed a wine-cabinet-style aging test space, which monitored the aging power curve and temperature. In this space, 100 inverters could be transported in and out by robotic arms to complete high-temperature testing. This innovation not only saved labor but also significantly reduced electricity costs, allowing for real-time monitoring of each inverter’s aging power at high temperatures. Today, Foxess Solar has 15 wine-cabinet-style aging rooms, saving thousands of kilowatt-hours of electricity daily. Reducing energy consumption, lowering costs, and increasing efficiency represents the pursuit of high-quality development akin to a “phoenix’s rebirth.”

Producing a solar inverter requires over 1,600 electronic components for placement. Since these are all high-precision devices, material delivery is time-consuming and prone to errors. Peng Jian made a second change: independently developing a digital control system that spans the entire manufacturing process.

In Foxess Solar’s showroom, traditional energy storage battery systems require wiring and plugging, which is cumbersome to install and has low protection levels. Peng Jian and his R&D team embarked on their third change since the company’s inception: upgrading and integrating the structure of wiring and plugging, transforming the energy storage battery system into a stackable design. Stacking the battery system completes the installation, significantly improving installation efficiency, reducing costs for users, and enhancing the added value of their products, making them industry-leading. This product is now very popular in major markets.

Recently, during a meeting in Foxess Solar’s meeting room, department heads discussed urgent production issues of the day, such as two modules with quality problems needing investigation.

Dancing at the forefront of the wave, Foxess Solar moves towards a larger international market. Focusing on household new energy products and bringing clean energy into thousands of homes, the company aims to continue bringing more surprises and changes.
