During the meeting, representatives from Chinese and French entrepreneurs discussed three topics: Renewable industrial innovation and mutual trust for win-win cooperation, green economy and low-carbon transformation, and new quality productivity and sustainable development, proposing suggestions to further deepen China-France economic and trade cooperation.
Private sector leaders in the fields of photovoltaic energy and energy storage included Nan Cunhui, Chairman of CHINT Group; Li Xiande, Chairman of JA Solar Technology Co., Ltd.; and Gao Jifan, Chairman and CEO of Trina Solar.
Key figures from lithium battery companies involved in both new energy vehicles and storage included Zeng Yuqun, Chairman of Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited (CATL); Liu Jincheng, Chairman of EVE Energy Co., Ltd.; and Zhang Lei, Chairman of Envision Energy Technology Co., Ltd.
Notably, companies such as StarCharge, Trina Solar, JA Solar Technology, CHINT Group, CATL, EVE Energy, and Farasis Energy have all ventured into the energy storage business and have become representative players in the field.
Following the closing ceremony, Chinese and French enterprises signed 15 cooperation agreements in fields including finance, nuclear energy, aviation, manufacturing, and new energy. From the content of the agreements, it can be seen that China and France have expanded from traditional energy, nuclear power, and aviation to new energy and green technology industries.

China Solar industry Giant
Trina Solar, JA Solar Technology, and CHINT Group, invited to participate in this event, are not only giants in the photovoltaic field but also representatives extending into the solar energy storage.
Their involvement may accelerate the globalization coupling of the photovoltaic and energy storage sectors.
In the field of photovoltaics, Trina Solar has supplied components for France’s first and Europe’s largest floating solar power station. They have also collaborated with globally renowned energy companies like Électricité de France (EDF) to construct photovoltaic projects, contributing to France’s transition to a low-carbon economy and receiving high recognition from French and other European customers. As of now, Trina Solar has set or refreshed world records 26 times, with over 4,000 patent applications, leading participation in 176 standards, pioneering the proposal of IEC international standards, and ranking first globally in the shipment of 210 components.
In the field of energy storage, Trina Solar’s sales of energy storage cabins and systems have broken through markets
Jinko Solar is indeed the world’s first solar panel company to join RE100 and the first Chinese new energy enterprise to pass SBTi scientific carbon footprint verification. It’s also the first to have 5GW capacity for 100% zero-carbon manufacturing of components and the first Chinese photovoltaic energy storage enterprise to establish a traceable system. In 2023, Jinko Solar achieved a revenue of 21.45 billion euros in Europe, accounting for 18% of the company’s total revenue, second only to domestic business revenue.
In their 2023 financial report, Jinko Solar stated that they released energy storage solutions covering the grid-side, industrial and commercial, and residential sides. Additionally, their 4 GWh energy storage system production line has been successfully put into operation, with follow-up battery and system capacity being constructed in an orderly manner. The company has signed orders with numerous global power developers, distributors, and end customers, involving 24 countries and regions, including China, the Middle East and Africa, Southeast Asia, North America, Australia, and Japan.
France-China cooperation developing humans living
Indeed, France is currently advancing a “re-industrialization” based on green innovation, while China is accelerating the development of new quality productivity. Looking ahead to the next 60 years, innovation cooperation between China and France can make even more contributions to global green transformation. By combining their strengths in green technology, renewable energy, and sustainable development, China and France can play pivotal roles in driving global efforts towards a more environmentally friendly and sustainable future. Their collaboration can pave the way for breakthroughs in clean energy, environmental protection, and green manufacturing, ultimately benefiting not only their own countries but also the entire world.
