How to Choose Your Solar System? solar become the talk of the town, but there are still enormous people who are not sure of which type of solar system fits with them, before revealing the answer, let’s understand the general need for solar solutions first!

Basically, we get electricity from solar, now class the three main reasons that push us to buy solar over the world:

Save Money

For this reason, end users have stable sources of electricity, but the costs are expensive, and the trends of cost for energy will still up seems a common perspective since Dollar is based on oil;

Save money is a big reason for end users to establishing a solar system who lives in the US and EU or developed countries

Backup Energy

There are 2 main group need solar system as a backup energy

1, Unstable Local Grid

Outage of electricity happens frequently in some places due to undeveloped infrastructure or extremely weather or specific geographic features, anyway, solar energy is a good way to solve that

2, Unacceptable for Blackout

In specific situations such as some important data being missed in a Bank or official government if cut off the grid or a terrible disaster like an event of an outage when an operation of surgery in a hospital or so, in these situations that a UPS(energy storage) function will solve it perfectly by continually supply of electricity when outage

Independent Power Producing

Some people use solar energy from an independent power producer, typically used on an island or a far rural or on a ship or something like that

Thus, we need to know which type of needs that close to us before consider how to choose a solar system:

Save Money

  • Inverter: On grid function is necessary, the mean purpose is use the solar system to reduce costs
  • Solar Panel : The optimised range of power is 60 to 80% of your average electricity consumption, If the range is too high that will be waste of costs, rather the solar system can not maximize its efficiency
  • Output Power: It doesn’t matter if your inverter is On-grid, the grid will cover the shortage if your output power is smaller than your consumption
  • Solar battery: energy storage is unnecessary for Saving money unless you wanna use solar energy at night or make profit from the DSM(Demand side management) System, lithium battery will be better because it has a long life-span.

Backup Energy

  • Inverter:  UPS transfer time is most important for Backup, you must choose 0-10MS if used for specific conditions that Unacceptable for Blackout, 10-20MS is good for residential use, of course, the figure more smaller, the performance better!
  • Solar Panel : You do not need solar panel if your local grid are stable
  • Output Power: It must be higher than your peak demands, this is necessary for Backup energy
  • Solar battery: you could use lithium battery or lead-acid battery that fit with the requirment of your inverter, Each has its own PROs, lithium battery will be easier to maintance but Lead-acid battery safer

Independent Power Producing

  • Inverter:  Off-grid is good, On-grid also support it only a little more costs, you can refuse to use on-grid inverter unless you wanna extend it in the future
  • Solar Panel : The optimised range of power is 100 to 150%(you might buy new electric appliances as time going) of your average electricity consumption, you can’t enjoy your solar system suitably if the range is too low to working
  • Output Power: It must be higher than your peak demands, this is necessary for Independent Power Producer
  • Solar battery: lithium battery will be good for you unless you lack of money, if it is possible, I recommend you use high-voltage battery if your power demands above 10 KWH, thus your cost will be lower
